About the speakers
Daan Zuijderwijk (1974) and Maaike Vergouwe (1978) both studied photography at the Academy St. Joost in Breda. Since 2006 they work together on various assignments and self-initiated projects.
Characteristic about the work of Zuijderwijk and Vergouwe, is their observation, without any judgment they document in an austere and simple manner. They emphasize this way of documenting by using large scale landscape cameras and film negative. By working with these big sizes a world full of details, textures and finesse reveals itself to the viewer.

Sarah Nichols is a French-British harpist, teacher and workshop leader. Her versatility as a performer allows her to experiment with all musical genres and art forms.

Bas Haring (1968) is a philosopher and scientist, a writer of childrens books and popular scientific work. He wrote various books on the relationship human-animal-nature.

Cyriel van Rossum (1962) studied linguistics at the Radboud University Nijmegen, and was trained in journalism in Utrecht and Amsterdam. Van Rossum specialized in environmental issues, water management and spatial planning. He currently works as an independent writer and journalist.

Lars Boering is director of the Photographers Federation, owner of Lux Photo Gallery in Amsterdam and co organisor of the Masterclass Noorderlicht in Groningen.
